NOTE:			Do not confuse this test with the less commonly ordered “Vitamin D, 1,25-Dihydroxy, Serum”.
	Test Performed At:
		Barnes-Jewish Hospital Laboratory
	Specimen Required:
		Draw 3.0 mL of whole blood in a plain, red-top; serum gel-tube(s); or lavender-top (EDTA) tube(s).
	Laboratory Notes:
		Spin, separate and send 1.0 mL serum or plasma.
		NOTES:		1.	Two labels will be generated with order. BJS needs BOTH sets of labels. You will need to put only one label on tube,then send other label (with different accession class/alpha character) with specimen to BJS.
				2.	Specimen does NOT need to be protected from light.
