	Specimen Required:
		Draw 2.5 mL of whole blood in a lavender-top (EDTA) tube(s).
	Laboratory Notes:
		None
	Reference Values:
		<200 copies/ml		- Negative or EBV DNA Not Detected
		200 – 3,999 copies/ml		- Positive (less than the lowest level of accurate quantitation). Unable to quantitate.
		4,000 – 2,500,000 copies/ml		- Positive. Reported as number of copies of EBV DNA per ml of whole blood.
		>2,500,000 copies/ml		- Positive to the highest level of accurate quantitation. Precise quantitation to follow with number of copies EBV DNA per ml of whole blood.
		NOTE:	Assay performed using analyte-specific reagent. See policies section, “Analyte-Specific Reagents (ASR) — St. Louis Children’s Hospital Clinical Laboratory.”
	Critical values (automatic callback): ≥ 10,000 copies/ml
	Every critical test result will be called automatically.
