Weekly Virus / Microbiology Update                                                                       2009

The following weekly report is a listing of pathogens detected at the St. Louis Children’s Hospital laboratory. Total tests and positive tests include fluorescent antibody (FA) testing, enzyme immunoassay (EIA) testing and cultures. This information is provided for use by physicians and other health-care professionals. The season for enterovirus and pertussis extends from January 1- December 31 yearly.
