		Draw send 1.0 mL (pediatric: 0.3 mL green SAMPLETTE™) whole blood in a green-top (lithium heparin) tube(s) from a fasting patient. A plain, red-top tube(s) is acceptable.

		Spin and separate
	Reference Values:
		0-1 year:		8.6-11.0 mg/dL
		1-2 years:		8.6-10.7 mg/dL
		>2 years:		8.6-10.3 mg/dL
		Critical values (automatic callback):
			1 min – 2 years:		<5.0 or >13.0 mg/dL
			2 years- adult:		<6.5 or >13.0 mg/dL
		Critical test results will be called initially and every 24 hours thereafter.
