Specimen Required:

 

 

Send 10 mL (minimum 1.0 mL) from a random urine collection in a urine container supplied by St. Louis Children’s Hospital.

 

 

NOTE:

If testing is to be for 24-Hour collection; send entire collection in a 24-hr urine container, no additive. Refrigerate specimen during collection and send order down as a miscellaneous referral test.

 

Laboratory Notes:

 

 

Send 2.0 mL (minimum 1.0 mL) of urine to BJS chemistry

 

 

NOTE:

Aliquot 0.2 mL of urine into a tube for SLC Chemistry to run a creatinine.
