Admission Policies
The selection process for admission to
programs in nursing and allied health is based on a review of
applicants´ personal and academic records. Applicants for
admission are considered without regard to race, color, age, religion,
gender, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, or marital
status.
Undergraduate
applications are reviewed on a competetive and selective basis.
All application materials must bt received by the admission deadline
dates to be considered for admission.
Admission Deadline
ASN, BSN-UD, RN to BSN, & MSN programs
FALL:
January 15, May 15
SPRING:
May 15, October 15
BSN-Accelerated Priority Deadline
January 15th
Application materials submitted after the priority
deadline will be considered on a space available basis.

Undergraduate Admission Procedure
- Submit a completed application form with a $25
fee.
- Request that official transcripts from
high school and all colleges attended to be sent to the Office of
Admissions. Students who have earned an associate or baccalaureate
degree from an accredited university or who graduated from high school
more than 10 years ago are not required to submit high school
transcripts. However, if the applicant desires to have high school
science and math courses evaluated for prerequisite course work, an
official high school transcript must me submitted.
- Request official ACT or SAT scores be sent
directly to the College. The school code for the ACT is 2305;
the school code for the SAT is 6329. Students who
have completed a minimum of 24 credit hours of acceptable college
course work are not required to submit ACT/SAT scores.
- Submit an official copy of General Education
Diploma (GED) scores, if applicable.
- Submit two reference forms.

Undergraduate Admission Criteria
The following criteria are considered when reviewing all
undergraduate applications for admission:
- Graduation from an accredited high school or
completion of the GED.
- A cumulative GPA (grade point average) of 2.75
on a 4.0 scale from high school or any regionally accredited
institution of higher education.
- A minimum ACT composite score of 21 or SAT
combined verbal and math score of 1,000 or an equivalent score on the
School and College Abilities Test (SCAT), which is administered at the
College free of charge to the applicant. (Excludes applicants with a
minimum of 24 credit hours of college-level course work or with
previous college degrees.)
- Two references
from teachers, counselors, or employers.
- Successfully complete the Nurse Entrance Test (NET) *
with a score above the national average passing rate.
- Additional credentials may be requested by the
Admissions Committee after an initial review of the applicant's file.

- NOTE:
- Admission status cannot be determined until complete
credentials are on file. All credentials received become the property
of the College. Failure to complete all spaces on the form or giving
incorrect information concerning previous enrollment at other colleges
or universities will void your admission to the College.
Unclassified Student Status
A temporary or visiting student may register for selected
undergraduate or graduate courses in "unclassifed" student status after
the following criteria have been met:
- completion of specific sections of the
application form
AND
- payment of the $25 application fee.
NOTES:
- Unclassified students are not eligible for federal or state
financial aid funds.
- Unclassified students may not enroll in any course with a
clinical practium.
- Unclassified students may enroll for a maximum of 9 credit
hours only.
- Students in "unclassified" status may be dismissed from the
College without review or right of appeal.
- Unclassified students must successfully complete the
program admission process if they plan to pursue a degree.
Transfer Credit
Transfer credit for course work completed at other regionally
accredited academic institutions (recognized by the U.S. Department of
Education) is granted under the following conditions:
- The courses are equivalent to courses offered
by Jewish Hospital College
OR
are equivalent to general education and science courses offered by
University College at Washington University.
AND
- The student has earned a grade of "C" or
better in each graduate course.
Credit by Competency Examination
Students with appropriate experience may be permitted to take
competency exams for which comparable college credit has not been
previously. Examination credit cannot be used for residency purposes.
Satisfactory scores on competency examinations must be on file with the
Registration Center prior to the beginning of the student's final
semester. Information on CLEP (College Level Examination Program) is
