   The selection process for admission to programs in nursing and allied health is based on a review of applicants´ personal and academic records. Applicants for admission are considered without regard to race, color, age, religion, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, or marital status

Admission Deadline

ASN, BSN-UD, RN to BSN, & MSN programs

FALL:           January 15, May 15

SPRING:       May 15, October 15

BSN-Accelerated Priority Deadline

January 15th

Application materials submitted after the priority
deadline will be considered on a space available basis.

Applicants to Jewish Hospital College of Nursing and Allied Health should be aware that individual degree programs may have specific, additional, admission criteria. Please review all program specific requirements.

Post Baccalaureate Dietetic Internship Certificate

The following criteria are considered when reviewing all applications for admission:

  • Completion of a baccalaureate or master's didactic program in Dietetics (DPD) accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Dietetic Education (CADE) of the American Dietetic Association.
  • Minimum grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale in all food and nutrition courses and a minimum grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale in all science and mathematics courses.
  • Minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale in all undergraduate and graduate course work.
  • Satisfactory completion of an undergraduate or graduate statistics course.
  • Three letters of reference from individuals who can address the applicant's academic potential.
  • Curriculum vitae (CV) or resume.

Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)

Concentrations:
Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Adult Nurse Practitioner
Nurse Educator Gerontologic Nurse Practitioner

The following criteria are considered when reviewing all applications for admission:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from a program regionally accredited by NLNAC or CCNE.
  • Minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale in all undergraduate and graduate course work.
  • Satisfactory completion of an undergraduate or graduate statistics course.
  • Satisfactory completion of course work in health assessment (nurse practitioner and holistic nursing concentrations only).
  • Three letters of reference from individuals who can address the applicant's academic potential.
  • Current Missouri licensure as a registered nurse or license eligible.*
  • *The admission status of license eligible applicants is considered conditional pending proof of licensure.

Post-Master's Nurse Practitioner Certificate Program

The following criteria are considered when reviewing all applications for admission:

  • A Master of Science in Nursing (or equivalent) degree from a program accredited by NLNAC or CCNE.
  • Minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale in all undergraduate and graduate course work.
  • Satisfactory completion of an undergraduate or graduate statistics course.
  • Satisfactory completion of graduation course work in physiology and health assessment.
  • Three letters of reference from individuals who can address the applicant's academic potential.
  • Curriculum vitae (CV) or resume.
  • Current Missouri licensure as a registered nurse or license eligible.*
  • *The admission status of license eligible applicants is considered conditional pending proof of licensure.

RN to MSN

The following criteria are considered when reviewing all applications for admission:

  • Graduation from a nursing program accredited by NLNAC.
  • Minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale in all undergraduate and graduate course work.
  • Acceptable GRE or MAT scores if the applicant has no prior baccalaureate degree in any discipline. The school code for the GRE is 6170.
  • Three letters of reference from individuals who can address the applicant's academic potential.
  • Curriculum vitae (CV) or resume.
  • Current Missouri licensure as a registered nurse or license eligible.*

*The admission status of license eligible applicants is considered conditional pending proof of licensure.
