Bachelor of Science in Nursing Accelerated Program
Overview
This prelicensure program is designed for individuals who have a bachelor’s degree in a field other than nursing. Applicants must complete 28 credits of prerequisite coursework (see Program Prerequisites below). The program is 12 months in length and is comprised of 53 credits of discipline-specific course work. Students who elect to pursue this program are highly encouraged not to work given the intensive nature of the coursework. Graduates from this program are eligible to take the NCLEX-RN, although successful completion of the program does not automatically guarantee eligibility to take the licensure examination. The BSN-Accelerated program prepares graduates to provide direct care in a variety of health care settings to diverse patients and their families, as well as to pursue higher degrees in nursing.
